Convert depth to feet (inches ÷ 12), multiply by length and width, divide by 27 cubic feet per yard.

How deep should mulch be?

2-4 inches is ideal. Less than 2" won't suppress weeds well. More than 4" can suffocate plant roots.

How much does a cubic yard cover?
